LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard left Tuesday night's game vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves with what the team is calling thoracic spasms. Leonard was seen on the TNT broadcast leaving the arena in his street clothes, which of course indicated that he would not return. Prior to the start of the second half, the Clippers announced that the star forward is dealing with thoracic spasms.

Leonard has been very durable for the Clippers this season, as has his co-star Paul George. The two star forwards have been able to avoid any extended injury absences up until this point in the season. There is no timetable yet on Leonard's injury, as this diagnoses is still very early.

The Clippers are in a race for the first seed in the Western Conference, and any stretch of games without Leonard would certainly impact that. Leonard spent the entire second quarter back in the locker room, and the Clippers saw their 22-point lead dwindle down to four at one point.

While there is no word on how long Leonard will be out, the Clippers will have to finish this game against the Timberwolves without their star forward. The hope is of course that Leonard will not have to miss much time, but there is no way to determine that as of right now.
