Facing elimination on the road, the LA Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in Game 5 vs. the Phoenix Suns. Both Leonard and George were ruled out by the team on Monday evening, and will be sidelined as their teammates look to force a Game 6 in Los Angeles.

The Clippers have fought hard in this series, but there is a distinct talent advantage for Phoenix that is hard to overcome. Without Leonard and George, the Clippers have relied heavily on Russell Westbrook; however, his dominant play has been met with inconsistent showings from his supporting cast.

Averaging 26 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 7.3 APG on great efficiency, Westbrook has been remarkable for the Clippers in this series. While this was always going to be a tough series for LA without Paul George, the absence of Leonard has made it even more difficult. The Clippers have done well to make these games competitive, but there has been an evident talent gap between them and the Suns.

For Phoenix, they are trending towards full health for Game 5, as backup guard Cameron Payne has been upgraded to probable. Payne missed the first four games of this series, but he looks to be nearing a return for the Suns.

If the Clippers win on Tuesday night, there will be a Game 6 in Los Angeles on Thursday.
