Paul George and Klay Thompson Get Honest About Injuries

Both All-Stars have dealt with some very serious injuries.

Paul George and Klay Thompson know a thing or two about injuries. George has had horrifying leg fractures, shoulder injuries, and a torn ulnar collateral ligament; Klay Thompson has ruptured his ACL and Achilles. The two have experienced setbacks and comebacks in a way that no one else has in the NBA.

When Klay Thompson was a guest on Podcast P, he and George had an incredibly candid conversation about the injuries they've sustained.

"You gotta get a little lucky in this league I've learned too," Thompson said. "You gotta get some breaks with injuries. I mean, Paul and I have been through it. I'm just lucky to still be going for five. When I say that, I have no complaints. I'l do it all over again, injuries and all. And I'm still together with the guys I came in with, with Steph and Dray, Andre and Steve, it's special."

George hasn't had the same luck as Klay Thompson. Even though George has persevered through injuries, he still doesn't have a championship to show for it - a cold hard fact that he knows himself.

"I had 6 surgeries. I don't got sh*t to show for it... you got rings to show for it," George said to Klay.

Despite George's frustrations and failures, Thompson revealed that George is a role model to him.

"You really inspired me... I never had to carry a franchise like you bro," Thompson said to George.

To see the level of true brotherhood between Klay Thompson and Paul George is something very special. The two have nothing but respect for one another despite being on rival teams.
