Paul George Gives Answer to LeBron James vs Michael Jordan Debate

Paul George gave a very level-headed answer to the GOAT debate.

One thing that NBA fans always love to talk about is the GOAT debate. Ten years ago, the debate was between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, now, it's between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Paul George weighed in on the debate during his first episode of Podcast P.

"I don't like this discussion," George said. "Because obviously if MJ was playing and MJ is so competitive if MJ knew what was to come after him... MJ took years off, came back, took years off, if MJ knew that there was this LeBron specimen coming, he definitely would have been like 'aite, I ain't taking no years off, we gonna keep elevating this.' So it's hard to give that debate on like the GOAT, and I hate that people compare the two."

Paul George did give LeBron James his flowers as being the GOAT of this generation but didn't want to say he was the greatest of any era. In all fairness, it's a very level-headed take on the debate.

"Yeah [LeBron] is the GOAT of this generation, you gotta give him that with what he's doing and what he's done," George said. "But all-time, I don't ever want to say one is over the other. To be honest, MJ wasn't asked to do what LeBron is asked to do, different game, different styles, different position. LeBron is not asked to do what Jordan does, so it's hard to debate the two and say who is the GOAT."

George's answer isn't the answer that LeBron James fans want to hear, but it's definitely the most rational take on the GOAT debate.
