LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has missed the last three games with a left hip contusion, but head coach Ty Lue says he is progressing. When asked prior to Tuesday night's win over the Charlotte Hornets if Leonard is still day-to-day, Lue said, "Still day-to-day. He's progressing, he's feeling better. Just not ready yet."

The Clippers have a day off on Wednesday, and will practice on Thursday before facing the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Friday. Lue will likely be asked about Leonard again at Thursday's practice, and whether or not the star forward is expected to participate.

All signs point to this being a minor issue for Leonard; however, this absence has extended a bit longer than many expected. That said, the Clippers are being cautious with him, and want to make sure he is 100% healthy before returning to the court.

The Clippers are 1-2 in the three games Leonard has missed this season, falling to the OKC Thunder and Boston Celtics before defeating the Hornets. This game against the Grizzlies will be tough even with Leonard, as Memphis has won four-straight since getting Ja Morant back, but it will be even more difficult if Leonard cannot go.

With two days until that game, perhaps Leonard will be ready to return for this Western Conference showdown in Los Angeles.
