Over the past week, Overtime Elite playoffs wrapped up as a five-game series went the distance between RWE and City Reapers in Atlanta.

Entering the championship series, there was real optimism that RWE could overtake City Reapers to avoid yet another championship for that squad. With a talented scoring punch in the backcourt with Karter Knox (Kentucky) and Daquan Davis, RWE certainly had the talent to win this series. Alongside that guard duo, Somto Cyrill (Kentucky) and Nathan Missia-Dio are elite talents in the paint. On the wing, Darrion Sutton (Georgia Tech) and young talents in Jayden Wilkins and Lincoln Cosby rounded out what was a loaded roster.

However, City Reapers found a way to win a third consecutive championship, led by Jahki Howard (Auburn), who won OTE Finals MVP with his string of performances through five games in the championship series. Jah Jackson was a significant contributor in the paint, as the big man has been a champion during all three of his seasons with Overtime Elite. Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech) was extremely impressive as a facilitator, setting up his teammates to score easy buckets. Bryson Tiller had an up-and-down postseason, but continued to prove he has as much upside as any prospect in this league.

Overtime Elite continues to be a premier option for young athletes looking to make their way to the NBA. As competitive as traditional high school playoff settings can be, experiencing the OTE postseason which features a multi-game series that requires adjustments and consistency is such a valuable experience.

There remains so many incredibly talented players in this OTE league. While there are quite a few huge recruits that will go play at major colleges next season — along with others that will test NBA Draft waters — more talent will continue to join the Overtime Elite system next year to replenish talent.
