There’s just a handful of games left in the 2023-24 NBA regular season, and the league’s newest class is looking to put the finishing touches on their first ever seasons.

Here are the top rookies to watch in tonight’s Friday slate:

Brandon Miller, Charlotte Hornets

Miller has scored in double-digits in his last 22 games, pouring on 20.3 points per game in that same span.

Tonight, he’ll take on one of the league’s best-ever scorers in Suns’ forward Kevin Durant.

It might not be the most competitive game, with Phoenix looking to increase their playoff odds and Charlotte likely positioning themselves for draft picks. But there should be plenty of fireworks between Durant and Miller at 6 p.m. tonight.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. vs. Ausar Thompson

Two of the top rookies in Jaquez and Thompson will face off in an Eastern Conference bout tonight.

The Pistons, led by Cade Cunningham, are beginning to hit their stride with three wins in their last four tries. The Heat might very well be doing the opposite, with four-straight losses mounting.

Regardless, both teams will need help from their respective rookies tonight at 6 p.m.

Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs

Tonight, Wembanyama will face off against a potentially soon-to-be three-time MVP in Nikola Jokic.

Their styles offer a nice contrast, with Wembanyama being a suffocating black hole on defense and Jokic offering a gravitational scorer and facilitator.

The two titans will face off at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
