Anthony Davis' Injury Status for Lakers vs Grizzlies Game 6 Revealed

Anthony Davis may have a hurt hip, but he's willing to lay it all on the line.

Anthony Davis has a hurt hip, but he's willing to do whatever it takes for Game 6. The Los Angeles Lakers have officially listed Anthony Davis as probable with a right foot stress injury.

Davis was an absolute monster in Game 5, putting up 31 points and 19 rebounds on 61% shooting. In the first three games of the series, wins and losses were determined by how well Anthony Davis performed. That trend changed in Games 4 and 5, where the Lakers won Game 4 despite a poor Davis performance and lost Game 5 despite a great one.

If there's one word that's going to describe the Lakers' mindset against the Grizzlies in Game 6, it's going to be desperate. Yes, the Lakers have the 3-2 advantage against the Grizzlies, but they absolutely do not want to go back to Memphis. Davis told the media that he's willing to play up to 48 minutes in Game 6 to secure a win, and that's the level of desperation that the Grizzlies should expect.

If the Memphis Grizzlies can somehow find a way to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 6 on the road, then all bets are off for Game 7. There's no telling what to expect in such an incredibly back-and-forth series.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers face off in Game 6 tonight at 10:30 ET.
