Grizzlies Announce Disappointing Update On Derrick Rose

The news on Derrick Rose isn't great.

The Memphis Grizzlies have had an absolutely brutal season. Week after week, a new disappointing injury update comes out, and this week's isn't any better

According to the newest update from Damichael Cole, Derrick Rose will be out "week-to-week" after getting injured Friday with left hamstring tightness.

For nearly all of the season, the Grizzlies have been decimated at the point guard position. Whether it's Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, or Derrick Rose, the Grizzlies just can't catch a break.

The way the season has gone for the Memphis Grizzlies has been legitimately surreal to watch. For the majority of the season, they've been missing: Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, Derrick Rose, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke. Memphis has been missing essentially an entire starting lineup for months, with both Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. having to carry the load.

Fortunately for the Grizzlies, they have help on the way starting Tuesday in the form of Ja Morant. When the season started, the idea was to have Derrick Rose be a mentor to Morant. Even if Rose is injured, he can still provide that veteran mentorship to Ja Morant.

Currently, the Memphis Grizzlies are 6.5 games out of a play-in spot. With the way things stand, there's going to be a lot of work needed from Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson. Hopefully, they'll be able to get it done.
