Los Angeles Lakers' Avery Bradley Says That He Will Opt-Out Of Playing When The NBA Season Resumes

According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Los Angeles Lakers' guard Avery Bradley has decided to not play in Orlando when the NBA resumes its season on July 31st. Bradley cites his family's health and safety as the reason for his decision. Bradley has a 6-year old soon with respiratory issues and doubts that he would be able to bring his family into the bubble with him due to health concerns.

"As committed to my Lakers teammates and the organization as I am, I ultimately play basketball for my family," Bradley said. "And so, at a time like this, I can't imagine making any decision that might put my family's health and well-being at even the slightest risk."

"As promised also, I will use this time away to focus on the formation of projects to help strengthen my communities," Bradley added.
