Unexpected Player Gets Ejected During Kings vs Grizzlies

This was one of the more unexpected ejections this season.

Marcus Smart hasn't played a game for the Memphis Grizzlies since January 9th. Despite that, he still found a way to get ejected against the Sacramento Kings on March 18th.

Smart is often known for being an emotional and heated player, and that reputation preceded him on Monday night. While wearing street clothes, Marcus Smart was ejected for arguing with a referee. The most hilarious thing about isn't just the fact that Smart was in street clothes, but that he's also only played 20 games for the Grizzlies this season.

The Memphis Grizzlies put up a tremendous fight against a healthy Sacramento Kings squad on Monday night. Down numerous key players, the Grizzlies put up a valiant fourth-quarter comeback that sent the game into overtime. Memphis ultimately lost in overtime due to Malik Monk's heroics and the Kings outscoring them 16-6, but just getting there was an accomplishment for Memphis.

It's been an incredibly tough year for the Memphis Grizzlies, and they still have some strong opponents while being shorthanded themselves. In the upcoming two weeks, Memphis will see the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Make no mistake though, if the Memphis Grizzlies have proven anything this season, it's that they're not going to be a pushover for good teams to run through.
