LeBron James hasn't received many technical fouls since joining the Lakers. At the same time, LeBron James also hasn't hated anyone as much as he's hated Dillon Brooks since joining the Lakers. The end result - LeBron getting his first tech of the season tonight.
LeBron James received his first technical foul of the season tonight when he shoved former Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks in a game. It was also only his 7th technical foul since joining the Lakers.
The last time these two teams faced off, the Rockets absolutely destroyed the Lakers. Prior to the game, Dillon Brooks stared an absolute hole through Lebron, looking like he wanted to destroy him. The history between these two goes further back though, specifically to last season when Brooks was on the Grizzlies.
Throughout all of last season, LeBron James and Dillon Brooks taunted and antagonized each other, with mostly Brooks doing the antagonizing. Their banter reached its peak during the 2022-23 NBA Playoffs, when Dillon Brooks called LeBron James old, and even claimed that he wanted to face him. Ultimately, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated Dillon Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies in a series that somewhat embarrassed both Brooks and the Grizzlies.
One would have thought last year's playoff series would have been the climax between these two enemies, but it's very clear that there's more to come.
