How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Thursday's Loss To The Denver Nuggets

The Miami Heat couldn't complete their comeback against the Denver Nuggets Thursday night.

The last time the Miami Heat were in Denver resulted in a loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the 2023 NBA Finals.

Sadly, Thursday night brought about the same results, as Denver defeated the Heat in an attempted comeback victory.

"Such a winnable game," user HeatCulture said. "We had no excuses to lose this at all, Jimmy and Bam should’ve done more earlier to start the game, Rozier had a weird night, offense lacked quality and barely any bench production besides Caleb. Gotta win our next two home games."

Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler got off to slow starts, which explained why the Heat were trailing most of the game. They got into a hole in the first quarter and then had another deficit late in the fourth quarter. They climbed back each time, but could never truly overcome the Nuggets.

Terry Rozier was the leading scorer behind Butler with 19 points, but the new star guard only shot 13 percent from 3-point range.

It didn't help that Michael Porter Jr. dropped 30 points with 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Porter Jr. had a few shaky games shooting, so of course he bounced back with one of his best performances of the season Thursday night.

The Heat play the Utah Jazz (27-33) Saturday night.
