Game Preview

Charlotte heads to the Lone Star State licking their wounds. The Hornets are 1-2 after back-to-back home loses against the Pistons and the Nets. Charlotte enters this matchup as the worst three-point shooting team in the league, only hitting at a 27% clip from downtown. Star point guard LaMelo Ball will look to get on track against a Houston team that has allowed opposing guards to get loose. Charlotte is 2-8 in their last 10 games in Houston, but the trend has flipped recently has Charlotte has won two of their last three on the road against the Rockets.

Key Matchup: Alperen Sengun vs. Mark Williams

Charlotte has had trouble on the glass all season and Sengun will look to continue those troubles. Sengun leads the Rockets in rebounding at nine per game, good for 25th in the league. Williams has two good games sandwiched around a stinker against the Pistons where he battled foul trouble and only hauled in three rebounds against Detroit's physical front line. Sengun is the hub of the Rockets offense and his role as Nikola Jokic-lite will be an interesting challenge for the Charlotte frontcourt to face.
