Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Trail Blazers

Picking tonight's game between Charlotte and Portland.

James Plowright: Trail Blazers 122, Hornets 97.

The Blazers might be 0-7 over the past two weeks, but I think they have a good chance to pick-up this win. The Hornets picked up several injuries against the Celtics, with a starting lineup of Mann/Smith Jr/McGowens/Pokusevski/Bolden very possible. Charlotte's tied with the Spurs for the 3rd-worst overall record, I have a feeling the franchise isn't interested in winning anymore games.

Prediction record: 28-10.

Drew Cook: Trail Blazers 112, Hornets 96.

Charlotte did manage to pick up a 93-80 win against Portland back in February, but this team is clearly begging for the season to end at this point. Injuries have depleted this team and now they go into tonight’s contest with the news of their head coach stepping down at the end of the season. Give me Portland to find an “upset” against a disheveled Hornets team.

Prediction record: 3-0.

Pat Fitzsimmons: Trail Blazers 103, Hornets 98.

In response to Steve Clifford’s announcement he is stepping down as HC at the end of the year, and all the injuries the Hornets have dealt with, it appears the team is giving up this year. However, I suspect it stays close, but the Hornets' lack of depth will be too much to overcome in this game.

Prediction record: 6-3.
