Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Warriors

Our staff picks tonight's game between Charlotte and Golden State.

Schuyler Callihan: Warriors 114, Hornets 98.

The Hornets snapped their five-game skid the other night against Cleveland thanks to a big night from rookie Brandon Miller. Unfortunately for the Hornets, they need a little more firepower than just Miller to be able to knock off the Warriors. They battled in the first matchup against Golden State back in February, but the defensive consistency hasn't been there in recent weeks.

Prediction record: 22-10.

Ian Black: Warriors 117, Hornets 111.

To have a chance, Charlotte will need to adjust defensively to a savvy Golden State offense that forces a great deal of switches and tough decisions for their opponents. The real difference maker may end up being that the Warriors have the third best rebounding percentage in the NBA at 52.0%, while Charlotte is 29th in the league with just a 47.9%. The Hornets will either need to hit more shots than usual, or hit the boards harder than usual.

Prediction record: 15-3.

Desmond Johnson: Hornets 110, Warriors 103.

I think we are watching the end of the Warriors Big 3 with Steph, Draymond and Klay. The Warriors have been a .500 team all season and are horrible on the road. A shorthanded Hornets roster may be able to take advantage but it will take an off night from Steph Curry, playing in his hometown of Charlotte.

Prediction record: 10-13.
