Charlotte Rebounds with Win Over Brooklyn

The Hornets move to 16-48 on the season.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Just one night after falling to the worst team in the NBA, the Charlotte Hornets got back in the win column, defeating the Brooklyn Nets 110-99 at home for their sixteenth victory of the season.

For the third time in his last four games, Hornets rookie Brandon Miller notched a 20+ point outing, ending the night with 23 on 10/21 shooting. He was complimented nicely by Miles Bridges who recorded a double-double for the second straight night with 24 and 10.

The game really swung in the second quarter where Charlotte held a 32-17 advantage, playing some of its best defense of the night.

Best of the Night: Offensive efficiency.

Things got a little sloppy at times, but when the Hornets didn't throw it away, they ran good stuff. A nice balance of peppering shots from deep and taking the ball to the cup, all while shooting at a 54.3% clip from the field. Floor spacing was better than usual, allowing for better ball movement.

Worst of the Night: Turnovers.

This continues to be an issue for the Hornets post trade deadline which is to be expected, but tonight was a few too many for Steve Clifford's liking. Obviously not having your top two guards in LaMelo Ball and Tre Mann, and to some extent Cody Martin, makes things all the more difficult.

Stat of the Night:

Brandon Miller knocked down a three for the 19th straight game, surpassing LaMelo Ball for the longest streak by a rookie in franchise history.

Highlight of the Night:

Next up: Hornets at Pistons, Monday at 7 p.m. EST.
