Even without the appearance of LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers had their way with the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night in dominating fashion, 138-122. It effectively drops Utah to a 26-29 record overall, as well as an 0-3 record since shipping off key pieces like Kelly Olynyk, Ochai Agbaji, and Simone Fontecchio last Thursday's deadline.

This game marked a big opportunity for the Jazz to get a leg up in the Western Conference standings and further their chances for the Play-In Tournament considering both teams are right in the mix. Now, Utah lands just outside the top ten seeds, sitting at 11th place and 1.5 games back from the Golden State Warriors

Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura led the way for LA in a stellar scoring output. Davis posted a game-high 37 points alongside 15 rebounds, while Hachimura didn't sit far behind with 36 points on the night. No LeBron, no problem.

Utah couldn't quite match up with the Lakers offensively. The team had seven players scoring in double figures, but none dropping over 20. Lauri Markkanen notably struggled a bit shooting in the contest as he shot 40.0% from the field and 28.6% from deep. Instead, it was Collin Sexton leading the Jazz in scoring with 18 on 53.3/40.0 splits.

The Jazz will have one last chance to get back on track at home before the All-Star break on Thursday when they take on the Warriors at 7 PM.
