Kings G League F Skal Labissiere Voted To Play Up Next Game

The 27-year-old has had a productive year in Stockton.

The Sacramento Kings have a history with F Skal Labissiere, and the most recent saga has Skal playing for the Kings G League Affiliate Stockton Kings. During his time in Stockton this season, he has proven the be successful, for which he was rewarded with a spot in the G League's Up Next Game over All-Star weekend in Indianapolis.

Skal finished second in fan voting, earning him a spot in the 28-player field. Skal has averaged 16.8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 13 games this season. He has also shot 66.4% from the field. Skal was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2016 out of Kentucky but had his rights traded to the Kings the same night, and spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks before moving to the G League.

Players will be drafted to one of four teams by an Influencer GM. Coaches will be from G League teams. The format of the games will be in a tournament style. 28 players are selected for the event - 10 by fan vote and 18 by a G League committee.

The Up Next Game will take place at the Indiana Convention Center on February 18 at 10:30 a.m. PT/1:30 p.m. ET.
