Anytime we see such a significant point spread, it usually means that we’d prefer to go in a different direction for better value. However, this is a case where we’re comfortable backing the Knicks, even as massive favorites.
Tonight’s game being at Madison Square Garden is already a boost, as New York is in the midst of a four-game homestand. Of course, facing a team that has yet to win 10 games certainly helps as well. It’s been some tough times for Detroit, especially with improvements expected heading into the season, as Cade Cunningham would be healthy.
While he has certainly been trying to carry the team, it’s simply not enough, and Isaiah Stewart being unavailable makes things even more difficult. That’s all without even mentioning that the Pistons were sellers at the trade deadline - most notably Bojan Bogdanovic. Interestingly enough, he is now on the New York Knicks!
