Anthony Davis Confirms His Status For Lakers Play-In Game Against Pelicans

Big man Anthony Davis gave fans quite the scare toward the end of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans when he left the game early with what looked like a back injury. Davis has been relatively healthy all season long and with the playoffs coming next week, this would have been very poor timing.

However, it thankfully seems like the Lakers avoided a catastrophic injury to their star player. After the game, Davis all but confirmed that he will indeed be suiting up on Tuesday when the team takes on the Pelicans once again.

This is music to the ears of the fans and the rest of the team. With Davis healthy, he can give the Pelicans all sorts of fits on the inside. Los Angeles has matched up pretty well against New Orleans this season but they have also been very inconsistent as well.

This game against the Pelicans is a big one, giving them the chance to enter into the official playoff bracket. However, waiting for them if they were to take down New Orleans again would be the Denver Nuggets.

Denver has had the Lakers number the last few seasons, making it a tough matchup. However, the Lakers aren't ducking anyone and believe in themselves. Look for the Lakers to give it their all on Tuesday, with the hope being for a playoff rematch with the Nuggets.
