We've already talked about just how terrible Golden State Warriors reserve guard Jordan Poole was against your Los Angeles Lakers in an eventual six-game loss.

Poole has been uncomfortably cold this postseason, writes Shaun Powell of NBA.com. As Powell notes, it seems that the team's chemistry has been a hot button topic ever since Draymond Green socked Poole in the face during a preseason workout.

"I don't speak on it much," Poole told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN this week. "But I will say that ... you've got to have a different level of maturity.

"We had a season to play. You're going to have to play with these people in the locker room, and that's why I said maturity is a big thing. What I know for a fact is there aren't many people who would be able to think logically and understand the magnitude of the situation, you know?"

Powell notes that, aside from a lucrative four-year contract extension he signed in the offseason worth $123 million guaranteed (and up to $128 million if various incentives hit), Poole has had a tough go of it all year, perhaps most noticeably during these playoffs. Beyond his typically terrible defense, Poole struggled to contribute on the other end of the floor, coughing up 1.2 careless turnovers a night against 3.5 assists, and chucking a litany of ill-considered heaves. He shot just 10-of-37 from the field during the Warriors' final five games of their season, in this second round series against the Lakers. He scored no points on 0-of-4 shooting in Game 4, playing just 10:24.

Now, with contract decisions pending for Warriors vets Draymond Green (who has a player option for next season) and Klay Thompson (who becomes extension-eligible in 2023-24), Powell believes that, despite Poole's extension kicking in next year, he may not be with the Warriors when those checks start clearing.
