Lakers News: New Commercial Hints at LeBron James Extending Career Even More

LeBron wants to play with his sons.

After a long offseason, the NBA is finally back Monday night and the Lakers are ready for a long season that will hopefully end up with another championship.

For LeBron James, this season is unlike any other for him. This is the first year that James will be the oldest player in the league.

When Andre Iguodala retired earlier this week, LeBron officially took over as the oldest active player in the NBA.

Now it seems like James is going to hold onto that title for a long time.

In a new commercial with Beats by Dre, the 21-year-veteran hints at his career being extended for a couple more years.

While watching the commercial, the audience can hear James' wife, Savannah, tell him to play long enough to play with his sons.

"Tell them you're not done until you play with your son [Bronny]. Then do that, again [with Bryce]."

If LeBron wants to play with his sons in the NBA, he is going to have to stick around for a few more years.

His oldest son, Bronny, is currently a freshman at USC and could potentially enter the draft this upcoming year.

His youngest son, Bryce, is a junior in high school and won't be NBA-eligible for at least another three years.

If LeBron does stay in the league long enough to play with his kids, the James family would be the first in NBA history to have a father play at the same time as his sons.

It has happened in other sports such as the MLB with the Ken Griffeys.

Entering his 21st year in the league, it looks like LeBron's wish to play with his sons could still be in the cards.
