Your Los Angeles Lakers eliminated the reigning champion Golden State Warriors from the playoffs yesterday in a 122-101 blowout. They'll square off against the top-seeded Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, whom they beat in the same playoff stage circa 2020 with a totally different roster surrounding LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Now, star Warriors power forward Draymond Green has taken to Instagram to voice his support for the team that booted his Dubs in six games.

Lakers guard Dennis Schröder, who was elevated from his typical reserve role into a starting backcourt gig during the closeout game, was assessed two technical fouls after getting into a bit of a skirmish with Green and ejected from the bout. Schröder quickly took to his Instagram page to seemingly clarify that there were no hard feelings between himself and the four-time All-Star.

As NBA Central captured, Green posted a very supportive followup:

Obviously, Green is good friends with his fellow Klutch Sports client LeBron James, so his message of support to the Lakers isn't necessarily surprising. From a pure competitive standpoint, if the team that eliminated his Warriors goes on to win the title, it probably makes the defeat sting a bit less.

Green scored nine points, pulled down nine boards, dished out three dimes and blocked one shot in 24:01 of action, before he too had to depart the game early with a sore right calf, per Marc J. Spears of Andscape. It was already well out-of-hand for Golden State by then, to be fair.
