Lakers Injury Report: Longtime Injured LA Player Seen in Uniform at Practice Friday

Will we see him take the court soon?

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Gabe Vincent has been limited to just five games all season. Despite signing a lucrative deal over the summer with Los Angeles, Vincent hasn't been able to contribute much to the success of the team.

Vincent was expected to give the Lakers a solid backup point guard option, who was strong on the defensive end. His ability to knock down three-point shots at an effective rate was also a reason why he was signed, but injuries have taken their toll.

The veteran point guard was spotted in uniform at Friday's practice, even if he didn't go through any practice drills. But this is a good sign for his return at some point this season.

In order for Vincent to return, he will need to get his conditioning back up to speed. The hope is that he can make his way back into the lineup over the next few weeks, in order to get ready for the postseason if the Lakers can clinch a spot.

The hardest part will be integrating Vincent into the lineups since he has been out for so long. But the team remains hopeful that he can give them a major impact when they need it most.

Getting a player like Vincent back into the mix right before the playoffs would be huge for this Lakers team. They have missed having a guard who could be a point-of-attack defender, so hopefully, he can get back onto the court sooner rather than later.
