Lakers News: LeBron James, Anthony Davis Remain Game-Time Decisions Against Knicks

The Lakers would love to have their stars in the lineup.

The Los Angeles Lakers are a little over an hour away from tip off for Tuesday night's showdown against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. To read our All Lakers expert predictions on Tuesday's matchup, click here.

The biggest news for Laker fans right now is the status of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Earlier in the day, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that James would return to the lineup. Then, however, the official Lakers injury report called him questionable, and called AD probable.

As we get closer to game time, their statuses remain in question. Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said that the two stars are expected to play, but will still go through pregame warmups before making a final determination.

Assuming AD does play, Mike Trudell reported that Davis will likely push his minutes restriction up to get him back in the starting lineup. That would be a huge boost for LA, who's missed having him in there for a majority of the game. Hey, it looks like our expert predictions were right about that!

We'll continue to update you on the statuses of James and Davis ahead of game time. It appears they will be playing, but the Lakers don't want to give a definitive answer yet. Tip off is at 4:30 p.m. PST.
