Lakers News: LeBron James Reveals Latest Update On Health Of Son Bronny

The latest on the USC freshman.

As USC Trojans basketball enters a new season, the hot topic of the offseason, Bronny James' health, has emerged at the forefront of national discussion.

After entering cardiac arrest during a team workout on July 24th, Bronny underwent a procedure and has since seemingly been on a very healthy path to recovery.

His status was since updated by All-Star Los Angeles Lakers All-NBA forward LeBron James, who outlined that he'll get a check up at the end of the month, and if cleared, will return to game action.

This is encouraging news for everyone involved, as heart issues are never easy to brush over, can often recur, and, worse, can have long-lasting effects on one's career.

Luckily for James, that doesn't seem to be the case. Assuming all goes well, it looks like the 6'4" combo guard out of Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth has a very legit chance of returning at some point this season, if not sooner rather than later.

For the Trojans, he'd be a big add. The team could use some additional depth, as beyond Oziyah Sellers, no other guard received minutes in their season-opening victory against Kansas State.

Moreover, the 19-year-old gives the Trojans the ability to run small, as having three ball-handlers (Isaiah Collier, Boogie Ellis, James) along with wing Kobe Johnson and forward DJ Rodman (son of Dennis) up front could make ffor a really quick, incredibly versatile defensive group to bring to tough games down the stretch.

Let's hope all is good with him, as he'd add an extra layer of fire to what seems to be a great Trojans group.
