After Memphis Grizzlies small forward Dillon Brooks criticized Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James for having lost a step from his Miami Heat/Cleveland Cavaliers-era prime (probably true), somewhat accurately calling the 38-year-old superstar "old," reporters today strived to elicit some kind of response or reaction from James himself during a team practice at the club's UCLA Health Training Center facility in El Segundo.

As captured by Dave McMenamin of ESPN, assorted journalists got what they wanted eventually, when a clearly ruffled James cut short an interview with a flippant dismissal.

"I don't want to talk much more," James said. "Tomorrow's going to be a great game. I'm not here for the bulls---, I'm ready to play, and that's it," James said, abruptly cutting off reporter queries for further comment on the Brooks issue.

James has actually played pretty well, on offense, throughout this series so far, especially when Brooks has served as his chief defender. Across their two games (during which the series is 1-1), he's scored 26 points while shooting 61.1% from the floor and 42.9% from long range.

Through the series cumulatively, the four-time champ is notching 24.5 points on 51.3% field goal shooting, 11.5 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and 1.5 blocks

James and Brooks will next square off tomorrow evening, at 7 p.m. PT in Crypto.com Arena.
