Mic’d-Up Exchange Between LeBron James & D-Lo Goes Viral After Lakers Loss

Picking his brain.

Lakers superstar LeBron James donned a microphone for the team's season-opening loss against the Denver Nuggets.

During his time with an audio focus, James shared some wisdom with his teammate D'Angelo Russell that gave fans a glimpse into the mind of the 21-year vet.

James clearly expressed a spot on the floor he liked to his point guard but for whatever reason the former No. 2 pick chucked a long three that clanked off the rim.

Russell didn't inspire confidence in his head coach's decision to let him start after he shot just 4/12 with 11 points and seven assists to begin 2023.

The Lakers decided to bring back the former Buckeye on a two-year contract but that stint may be short-lived if this poor play continues.

Anthony Davis wasn't much better, especially in the second half of the team's opening night loss.

Davis scored 17 in the first half but went missing in the final 30 minutes of play after a scoreless second half of play.

James led the team in scoring with 21 points but it was a frustrating effort in limited action.

The veteran played just 29 minutes but was by far the most efficient Laker on an otherwise disappointing night.

Nikola Jokic on the other hand picked up right where he left off from his Finals MVP campaign with a triple-double to open Denver's title defense.

His running mate Jamal Murray also played quite the part with an efficient 21 points and six assists in a great opening statement for the Nuggets.

James hasn't been shy to abandon patience in pursuit of his ultimate goals and Russell's first showing of 2023 may influence such decisions sooner rather than later.
