'Dream Come True!' Magic PF Paolo Banchero Eyes First All-Star Bid

The All-Star reserves get selected later tonight, and Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero is hoping to be on the roster.

The Orlando Magic is currently in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, and it is partially due to the great play of young forward Paolo Banchero.

The starters for the NBA All-Star Game were revealed last week, and the reserves will be announced at 7 p.m. ET tonight, and Banchero is hoping to be a part of that group. The young star talked about how much it would mean to him in if he was named an All-Star in an interview yesterday.

"It would be huge. I can’t sit here and downplay it, it’d be a big thing for me. Just a goal I’ve always had and it’d be a dream come true," Banchero said."

The young star is averaging 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists so far this season, as he has been doing just about everything for the Magic. His percentages from the field and from three are also up substantially from his rookie year.

If Banchero continues to play like this, the Magic will continue to rise in the Eastern Conference standings, and he will get more and more recognition for the great season he is having. And in the future, hopefully Banchero will be among the players that are starting in the All-Star Game.

Banchero and the rest of the Magic will be back in action on Friday against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET at Target Center.
