Bam Adebayo may be banged up, but NBA fans should expect him to play tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets.

The Miami Heat have officially listed Bam Adebayo as available, despite being listed with right shoulder discomfort.

Adebayo will likely be one of the most important players on the court for the Miami Heat this series. He won't be an X-Factor like Gabe Vincent or Caleb Martin would be, but he'll be incredibly pivotal in trying to contain Nikola Jokic. Mind you, there is no real containing of Nikola Jokic in these playoffs, as even Anthony Davis couldn't do anything to stop The Joker, but Adebayo will surely be the next best option.

Throughout the playoffs, Bam Adebayo is averaging 16.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 49/0/80 shooting. Looking at his numbers, he's actually having somewhat of a dropoff compared to his regular season numbers, but it doesn't matter when players like Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent are performing so above their averages.

It would be easy to write off the Miami Heat against a stacked Denver Nuggets team, but that would be a horrible decision to make. There's a reason why they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics on their path to the NBA Finals. The Miami Heat have a certain level of intangible in these playoffs, and it's something no one can really predict.
