Jamal Murray Fires Back at Patrick Beverley’s Trash Talk

Jamal Murray had a very simple statement to make.

Last week, Jamal Murray suddenly found himself at the center of going viral because of Patrick Beverley's trash talk. After the Denver Nuggets beat the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, Murray had a simple statement of his own to make.

"He can say whatever he wants, brother, I've got film of it," Murray said to the media.

For the uninformed, Beverley's initial statement last week was that he locked up Jamal Murray since the bubble.

"I told him I said, you know this about three or four," Beverley said. "Three or four years, I've been locking your ass up. Yes, since the what the bubble... You know me, and I know you."

While Jamal Murray's career averages against Patrick Beverley are somewhat low at 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists a game, it still doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Jamal Murray was a part of the Denver Nuggets team that sent the Clippers home after blowing a 3-1 lead in the bubble. On top of that, the Nuggets dominated the Clippers for years after the bubble. Still, if there's one thing that Patrick Beverley loves to do, it's talk and get under people's skin.

Jamal Murray and Patrick Beverley won't face off again this season unless the Nuggets find themselves against the 76ers in the NBA Finals. If that happens, one can bet there will be some popcorn needed.
