Playoff Jamal Murray has been one of the scariest players in the NBA, until Monday night. Murray had an unexpectedly cold shooting night against the Phoenix Suns, putting up 3/15, and the Nuggets still found a way to win.

Murray was asked about the cold shooting after the win and gave a very candid response.

"If I go look at the film, most of the shots were open," Murray said. "They just didn’t drop tonight. 0-9 from 3. I've just got to make a shot. It wasn’t anything they did... I don't think I've ever shot like that before."

Murray is right. He's never shot 0/9 from three in an NBA Playoff game until Monday night. Despite the horrible shooting performance, Jamal Murray isn't deterred. He knows who he is, and what he's capable of.

"I know I can shoot the ball, but tonight was not it," Murray said. "Get back in the gym, eat some good film, eat sleep, try to watch film, and forget about it. Come focused for Friday and know whatever happened today is in the past."

It's an incredibly good sign that the Denver Nuggets were able to survive such a poor shooting night from Jamal Murray against the Phoenix Suns. It remains to be seen what will happen in Game 3, but winning Game 2 in this fashion should be very convincing for the Denver Nuggets. One more win and the team will have a very realistic chance of getting to the Western Conference Finals.
