Jamal Murray Ties Nikola Jokic on Wild Nuggets List

Jamal Murray had an insane third quarter against the Nets.

Jamal Murray is easily the best player who has never made an All-Star game in today's NBA. He proved that again tonight when he put up 21 points in the third quarter against the Brooklyn Nets for a win. Strangely enough, this wasn't his first time doing it.

Tonight was Jamal Murray's 5th career 20-point quarter. This ties Nikola Jokic for the 2nd most in franchise history. Carmelo Anthony has the most in franchise history with six.

The fact that Jamal Murray has already done this five teams in his career shows just how special he really is. Even though Jamal Murray is only averaging 18.4 points this season doesn't diminish the amazing playoff run he had last season.

Last season in the playoffs, Jamal Murray averaged 26.1 points, 7.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on 47/40/93 shooting. These are legitimate superstar numbers Murray put up in an NBA Championship run, the types of numbers fans would see a Kawhi Leonard produce. The only reason it gets overshadowed is because of how spectacular Nikola Jokic is.

If there's one person who needs to be in the NBA All-Star game this season, it's Jamal Murray. If not for what he's been doing on the court this season, then what he's done on the court the last two seasons combined. He's given more than enough reason at this point to receive the acknowledgment.
