Karl-Anthony Towns Makes Ridiculous Claim About Denver Nuggets

KAT thinks the Wolves' playoff run is better than the Nuggets' championship.

Occasionally, an NBA player will make a statement that makes everyone turn their head in disbelief. This week, one of those statements was made.

On an episode of the Pat Bev Podcast, Karl-Anthony Towns made arguably the most ridiculous statement anyone has made this NBA season. Somehow, he claimed that the Minnesota Timberwolves' playoff run was more special than the Denver Nuggets' championship run.

"I just played them in the playoffs bro, they was telling us our plays... But they also what? What's one of the things that like you see, it was more special what we did in Minnesota because we had, we had like what, like a month? Then we had training camp and it was like you better figure it all out right now, and we really figured it out quick. Think about it, they had what, Jokic been in the league... if you think about it four years, we got it done in four months."

The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost in the first round the last two seasons in a row. Last season in particular, they choked multiple double-digit leads against the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, and absolutely blew the series. To say a first-round exit is more special than an NBA Championship is the most ridiculous statement a player could ever make.

Whether Karl-Anthony Towns' statement is clickbait or not, it's one that makes it harder to take him seriously as an NBA player.
