Knicks All-Star Gives Honest Opinion on Nikola Jokic

Julius Randle got brutally honest about facing Jokic.

If there's one player that's frustrating for other players to face against it's Nikola Jokic. Oftentimes, they think he'll be slow or unathletic, but he'll always find a way to absolutely destroy him - including Julius Randle.

Julius Randle was a guest on Paul George's Podcast P where he opened up about facing Nikola Jokic and how difficult the matchup has been.

“The joker, bro. I remember that too," Randle said. "Like I remember my second year we had played against him and I'm just like, because he was killing, I'm like, man, why is this dude killing bro? Slow and fat? Like he was going but he ain't nice like that, I guess in my head and bro, he came, he played he hit like 25. I'm like, man, how the hell this happened, bro. But like, it's crazy, bro. Like you talk about getting better, it's crazy to see him. He's always had that skill when you look back, he's always had that skill, but like to really hone in on his skill set and getting better the way he did year after year. That's incredible."

While Randle has come into his own to become an All-Star, Nikola Jokic has just been at an entirely different level, becoming multiple-time MVPs and Finals MVPs. Oftentimes, when players re-tell their stories of facing Jokic, it involves underestimating him due to his athleticism. It's hard to tell what the answer is to guarding Jokic, but it's pretty clear that as of now, no one has that answer.
