NBA Hall of Fame Coach Blasts Carmelo Anthony

George Karl absolutely blasted Carmelo Anthony.

Just when you thought the bad blood between Carmelo Anthony and George Karl was over, the entire situation lit up all over again.

In the newest episode of the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Carmelo Anthony spoke about his former coach and the moment that Karl called him overrated. He wasn't necessarily blasting Karl, but rather just re-telling a story. Now, it looks like the Hall of Fame coach didn't take too kindly to the moment on Twitter.

"Hey @carmeloanthony let’s not do this," Karl said. "You’re telling stories that are 20 years old. Let’s move fwd 💪 And u were overrated and u wish your game was as efficient as Detlef’s. 😆"

Whether or not George Karl is speaking sarcastically or in jest, it's likely not going to be taken well by Carmelo Anthony. Hopefully, it doesn't create a brand new cycle where Carmelo speaks on his podcast about Karl, and then Karl responds on Twitter. Both of these individuals are way too far along in their careers and age to start a new cycle of beef with each other. Instead, they should both be celebrating the fact that the Denver Nuggets have actually become a destination franchise in the NBA and actually won their first NBA Championship ever last season.

It's hard to say how exactly Carmelo Anthony will respond after Karl's statements, but it seems highly likely that he will.
