Having recorded a triple-double in his first NBA Finals game, Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has an opportunity to join a very exclusive list in Game 2 vs. the Miami Heat. Across all of NBA history, only six players have recorded multiple triple-doubles in an NBA Finals series, leaving Jokic with an opportunity to become the seventh.

Should Jokic record one more triple-double during these Finals, he would join a list that includes only LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler. No player in NBA history has ever recorded more than two triple-doubles in an NBA Finals series, which is something Jokic certainly has a shot to achieve as well.

Jokic has been making NBA history on a nightly basis this postseason, but remains focused on just one goal, which is winning the whole thing. It has already been a historically great postseason un for Jokic, but a ring would put it up there with some of the best. With an opportunity to make even more history on his way to that goal, Jokic has himself and his team positioned nicely as they enter Game 2.

The Nuggets have looked much better than their competition all postseason long, which has primarily been due to the overpowering play of Nikola Jokic and his co-star Jamal Murray.
