Nikola Jokic Reacts to Historically Bad Statistical Night

Nikola Jokic really struggled to shoot against the Clippers.

To say Nikola Jokic struggled against the Clippers would be an understatement. He statistically had the worst shooting night of his career, with a 9/32 shooting night.

After the loss, Jokic spoke to the media where he addressed the poor shooting night.

"I don't know," Jokic said. "I was taking the shots I usually take. Some possessions, they played really good defense. When you miss 25 shots, it's a little bit of everything."

In all honesty, Nikola Jokic was missing some very makeable shots against the Clippers on Wednesday night. Some shots were at the rim, some shots were jumpers, and some were wide-open threes. The most surprising misses were the ones at the rim, where he just seemed a little off. Bad games happen to every player, and Jokic just got in his own head last night.

Despite the poor shooting in what may be considered a bad night, Jokic was still phenomenal against the Clippers. He put up a stat line of 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, while still being a +1 in a nine-point loss.

Where the Nuggets lost against the Clippers wasn't just Jokic's shooting, it was the inability to find Michael Porter Jr. for long stretches of time. It was very clear that Porter Jr. had the touch on Wednesday night, putting up 18 points on 7/8 shooting, but they failed to go to him in the fourth quarter.

Up next for the Denver Nuggets is the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
