Nikola Jokic's Status vs Oklahoma City Thunder Revealed

The two-time MVP is playing.

The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder face off today in what should be a game between the NBA's current champions and the young face that many have high expectations of this season. Fortunately, the two-time MVP will be there to play, too.

Nikola Jokic is not listed on the injury report and is officially listed to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder today.

Throughout 28 games, Nikola Jokic has averaged 21.0 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 6.6 assists against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In Jokic's last game specifically, he put up 35 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks on an astounding 13/15 shooting. The Thunder haven't really had the size to deal with Jokic and his rebounding numbers have been quite dominant against them.

What's going to be most interesting in this matchup is seeing how Jokic and Chet Holmgren match up against each other. He may be the only person on the Thunder that actually has the length to deal with Jokic, but he still doesn't have anywhere near the size. Today's matchup should definitely be a learning experience from Holmgren that he should take something from. It's a battle between the best player in the NBA and one who hopes to be the best big man in the near future.

The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder tip off today at 3:30 p.m. EST.
