The Denver Nuggets are back in action on Thursday night, facing the Washington Wizards in their first game back from the All-Star break. The Nuggets have released their injury report for this game, and reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic is not listed, meaning he is available to play.

The Nuggets entered the All-Star break on a bit of a skid, having dropped their last three games. This is of course very uncharacteristic for the defending champions, but they have an opportunity to get right back on track against the Wizards on Thursday.

The top of the Western Conference standings are very tightly contested, so this three game skid has dropped the Nuggets to fourth place. That said, Denver is still within reach of every team in front of them, and even a small winning streak can bring them right back to the top of the West.

Winning games like this against teams like the Wizards is very important, because there are simply not many nights in the NBA when the opponent is this poor. That said, Washington still has some talented players that the Nuggets will need to be careful with.

Every game is important for the Nuggets between now and the end of the regular season, as the difference between seeds in the Western Conference could come down to just one or two wins.
