Nuggets Announce Roster Move Before Game vs. Rockets

The Denver Nuggets have assigned players to the Grand Rapids Gold.

The Denver Nuggets have made some slight roster moves tonight before facing off against the Houston Rockets.

It was revealed today that the Nuggets have assigned Jalen Pickett, Braxton Key, and Jay Huff to the Grand Rapids Gold G League team.

Jalen Pickett is a 24-year-old 6'2" guard who's averaging 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds on 47/38/100 shooting from the field. He's played in 10 games for the Denver Nuggets, averaging 7.1 minutes a game.

Braxton Key is a 26-year-old 6'8" forward who's averaging 0.4 points and 0.8 assists this season with the Nuggets. He's only played in five games this season while averaging 2.4 minutes a game. The moment Braxton Key is most known for is when he made a game-winning putback dunk in overtime for the Dallas Mavericks in the summer league.

Jay Huff is a 26-year-old 7'1" center who's averaging 1.0 points in two games this season for the Nuggets. He's only averaged about two minutes in the one game he's played.

Out of all these players, Jalen Pickett is the one who is averaging the most minutes with the Nuggets rotation. This move could indicate that Jamal Murray is coming back into the rotation, who is currently listed as questionable on the injury report. If that's the case, tonight could be a huge day for the Denver Nuggets.
