Indiana Pacers to host six players for pre-draft workout on June 12

More than 50 players have worked out for the Pacers in the pre-draft cycle

The Indiana Pacers will have officially brought in more than 50 players for a pre-draft workout by the end of tomorrow.

The team announced their 13th pre-draft workout of the 2023 NBA Draft cycle, which will take place on June 12. There are six players involved, which brings the Pacers total up to 54.

The pre-draft auditions have spanned exactly one month. Here are the half-dozen prospects that will be in the St Vincent Center on Monday.

  • Marcus Carr, Texas
  • Kendric Davis, Memphis
  • Zvonimir Ivisic, Croatia
  • Drew Peterson, USC
  • Julian Phillips, Tennessee
  • Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky

Phillips leads this group in terms of intrigue. He only averaged 8.3 points per game this past season with Tennessee, but his defense was impressive, and he led the NBA Draft Combine in vertical leap and standing vertical leap. If he can be an athletic defender in the NBA, he will provide a team with value. ESPN has him going 34th in their most recent mock draft.

Ivisic is the only other player ESPN projects to be selected among the group, and he is slotted at pick 58, which is the final pick in the draft this year. He averaged 7.1 points per game across all competitions for Studentski Centar Podgorica this year.

Indiana has five picks in the draft, with three coming in the first round and two in the second. It is important that they work out as many players as they possibly can ahead of June 22. There are just 11 days between now and draft night.
