Six more draft prospects to work out for Indiana Pacers on June 6

The Pacers have worked out nearly 40 players in this draft cycle

The Indiana Pacers have announced the attendees for their seventh pre-draft workout of the 2023 cycle, which will take place on June 6.

The Pacers continue to bring in prospects ahead of the June 22 draft. With the team owning five picks that are slotted all over the draft, the franchise needs to get a feel for essentially every player that they could pick on draft night.

Tuesday's workout will be the blue and gold's second of the week. They have brought in over 35 prospects for workouts already.

The June 6 workout group includes:

  • Marcus Bagley, Arizona State
  • Josh Bannan, Montana
  • Noah Clowney, Alabama
  • Alex Gross, Morehead State
  • G.G. Jackson, South Carolina
  • J.T. Shumate, Toledo

Two of those prospects stand out among the group in Jackson and Clowney. ESPN's latest mock draft has Jackson going 33rd overall to the San Antonio Spurs and  Clowney going 20th to the Houston Rockets. The Pacers own picks 26, 29, and 32, so those two players could both be available in their range.

Jackson is raw, but he has size and can defend. He played the guard positions in high school but should be a wing in the NBA, which gives him a unique skillset. Clowney, meanwhile, has a ton of defensive upside and has shown flashes as a play finisher with the Crimson Tide.

The draft is now under three weeks away, and teams are finishing their preparation. The Pacers will have numerous workouts in the coming weeks to be ready for draft night.
