Six more players to participate in pre-draft workout for the Indiana Pacers on June 13

The Pacers continue to prepare for the 2023 NBA Draft

The Indiana Pacers will host players for their 14th — yes, 14th — pre-draft workout of the 2023 NBA Draft cycle on Tuesday.

The Pacers have been doing their homework ahead of this draft, as they should. Getting eyes on as many players as possible is good business, and these workouts are an excellent chance to get to know future NBA talent. Indiana is taking advantage of the opportunity.

This is the Pacers ninth workout of the month. They have been busy scouting as they have five picks in the draft.

The six players who will work out for Indiana on June 13 are:

  • D'Moi Hodge, Missouri
  • Colby Jones, Xavier
  • Omari Moore, San Jose State
  • Kevin Obanor, Texas Tech
  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Marquette
  • Malachi Smith, Gonzaga

Two players stand out among this group in Prosper and Jones. Both are projected to be late first-round picks in the draft in ESPN's latest mock draft. Prosper projects to be selected 28th overall while Jones sits at 29th, a pick the Pacers actually own.

Prosper was a standout at the NBA Draft combine. He's tall and has length on the wing and could be exactly what the Pacers need. Jones, meanwhile, is more of a guard/wing hybrid. But he can score from all over the court and should be a solid role player in the NBA.

Indiana currently has picks seven, 26, 29, 32, and 55 in the draft. They could be a busy team in the coming week leading up to the draft with workouts and possible moves.
