Jaden Ivey Is A Detroit Piston

Detroit selected Purdue's Jaden Ivey at No. 5 in the 2022 NBA Draft.

After months and months of scouting and preparation for this year’s NBA draft, Troy Weaver and the Pistons have got their guy. At pick No. 5, Detroit selected Jaden Ivey, the 6-4 guard from Purdue. 

The uber-athletic guard averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, on 35.8% three-point shooting. Ivey will likely slide into the backcourt with Cade Cunningham as his running mate. The next stop for the All-Big Ten first team member is Las Vegas on July 7 for the Summer League where the Pistons will be playing Portland.
