The Toronto Raptors are back, sort of.

Toronto will open its preseason schedule Sunday at 8 p.m. ET when the Sacramento Kings venture north to Vancouver for the annual Canadian Series game.

Where to Watch

Sportsnet and TSN 1050 will broadcast the game in Toronto. Kings.com/Live will call the game for Sacramento.

What to Watch For

  • It'll be the first time the Raptors take the court under new head coach Darko Rajaković. Toronto should look pretty different on both ends of the floor, with a less aggressive defensive scheme, and far more ball movement than last season.
  • The starting lineup for the Raptors remains a bit of a mystery though it appears Dennis Schröder is more likely to start in the preseason opener. It'll interesting to see how Toronto manages a Schröder-led lineup with its lack of floor spacing.
  • Regardless of who starts, Scottie Barnes will see the ball in his hands more this season. He's put in a lot of work over the offseason to tighten his dribble and improve his left hand. Sunday will be the first look at how much that work has paid off.
  • There's essentially only one roster spot up for grabs right now with Jeff Dowtin Jr. vying to unseat someone on a guaranteed contract. His chances of making the team will come down to how he performs this preseason and how important the Raptors think it is to build out depth at the guard position.

Injury Reports

The Raptors will be without Precious Achiuwa and Christian Koloko.
