The Toronto Raptors have begun filling out their training camp roster with another undrafted free agent signing this summer.

Kevin Obanor, a fifth-year senior out of Texas Tech, is the latest addition, joining the Raptors on an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Bryan Kalbrosky of USA Today. The deal is non-guaranteed and will allow Toronto to keep Obanor with the Raptors 905 for the season.

The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 14.4 points with 6.4 rebounds per game last season. He shot 49.2% from the floor as a senior and has a career three-point percentage of 38.1% on 3.6 attempts per game.

Obanor spent three seasons at Oral Roberts before transferring to Texas Tech in his fourth year. He was a member of the Golden Eagles’ 2021 team that advanced to the Sweet 16 after knocking off Ohio State and Florida, respectively.

Despite his 33.1% three-point stroke this past season, Obanor projects ideally as a 3-and-D wing who attempted almost half his shots behind the arc as a Red Raider.

Expect Obanor to compete for one of three two-way spots Toronto has this year. Fellow undrafted rookie Markquis Nowell has been inked to one of the two-ways with the remaining two up for grabs.

The Raptors have yet to announce their Summer League squad but Obanor will likely be a member of the team alongside Nowell and rookie first-round pick Gradey Dick.
