The NBA announced its inaugural In-Season Tournament, and the Houston Rockets will face off against Group B.

HOUSTON — The NBA announced its full schedule for the inaugural In-Season Tournament as part of the 2023-24 campaign. The Houston Rockets will play their first In-Season tournament contest of Group B on Nov. 10 against the New Orleans Pelicans inside the Toyota Center.

The Rockets will then travel to Los Angeles for a match against the Clippers on Nov. 17. The team will return to Houston for a contest against the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 24. The Rockets will close the preliminary round on the road against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 28.

All 30 teams will be split into six groups of five based on a random draw, three teams in the West and three in the East. Games will be played on Tuesdays and Fridays in November and will count towards the regular season record.

After the four games in group play, two home and two road contests, the top team from each group, along with a wild card from the East and West will advance to knockout play.

Those who advance past the single-elimination knockout will play the semifinals and finals in Las Vegas, and a winner will be crowned on Dec. 9. Players on the winning team will win a considerable amount of prize money.

Group A has the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers. Group C has the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The remainder of the 2023-24 schedule will be released at a later date. The tournament's first game will take place on Nov. 3 in an Eastern Conference match between the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks inside Fiserv Forum.
