'I Got A Couple Of Burners': Rockets' Jalen Green To Appear On Podcast P With Paul George

Houston Rockets' star guard Jalen Green will appear as a guest on Podcast P with Paul George to discuss his first two years in the NBA.

HOUSTON — Houston Rockets' Jalen Green will appear as the next guest on Paul George's podcast, Podcast P with Paul George. The episode will be broadcast Monday at noon on YouTube and all podcast streaming services.

Green will discuss his path from the G League to the NBA. His welcome to the league moments. The ups and downs of his first two seasons. And thoughts on coach Ime Udoka, who the Rockets hired in April following the departure of Stephen Silas.

A snippet of Green's and George's conversation made rounds on social media Sunday afternoon. Green shared his thoughts on the criticism and praise he receives on Twitter, which has driven the second-year two-guard to create several burner accounts.

"I got a couple of burners,” Green said. “They’ll be cool with you, praise you and all that. [Once I] have a bad game, ‘he’s not good, he’s going to China."

The Rockets went 22-60 during the 2022-23 campaign. But despite finishing toward the bottom of the league, Green showcased his growth in the 76 games he played during his sophomore season.

He led the team in scoring by averaging 22.1 points on 41.6 percent shooting from the field. Green scored 40 or more points on four separate occasions. He set a career-high 42 points on January 23 in a five-point home victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Green will be the third guest on George's podcast. Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns and Chicago Bulls' DeMar DeRozan joined the eight-time All-Star as previous guests.
